The Last Of Us Part II Is The Fastest-Selling PlayStation 4 Exclusive Ever

The Last of Us Part II fastest selling PS4 Exclusive

It has only been one week since Naughty Dog finally released one of the most highly anticipated sequels of all-time and fans have been spending quite a bit of time in the new adventure. That said, it is now been revealed that The Last of Us Part II has officially become the fastest-selling PlayStation 4 exclusive ever.

The Last of Us Part II was released on June 19th and as of the 21st, it had already sold over 4 million copies, which is truly an incredible feat, especially since we are nearing the end of this generation’s console cycle. To really break that down and put it into perspective, God of War sold 3.1 million copies within that same time frame and Marvel’s Spider-Man sold 3.3 million.

“We are so immensely grateful to the millions of fans around the world that have played The Last of Us Part II and shared their experiences with us over the last week,” game director Neil Druckmann said on the PlayStation Blog. “We set out to tell a new kind of story, one that deals with difficult themes and would challenge you in unexpected ways. Hearing how the experience has resonated with so many of you and witnessing the type of thoughtful discussions it has sparked has been so incredible. We’ve also been so inspired by your creativity — whether it’s your gorgeous Photo Mode shots, jaw-dropping gameplay GIFs, or the songs you’ve recorded using Ellie’s guitar.”

The Last of Us Part II is currently available exclusively for the PlayStation 4. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
