New Code Vein Trailer Revealed Featuring Companion Mia Karnstein (VIDEO)
With Bandai Namco having recently announced the official release date for anime souls-like title Code Vein, the publisher has begun to turn up the heat by unveiling new companion story trailers for the game. The latest new trailer to be released features none other than Revenant Mia Karnstein, the very first companion that was announced after the game was revealed last year. Check out the trailer below:
While we’ve already seen plenty of gameplay footage of Mia, this time around we get a glimpse of her backstory, which revolves around protecting her little brother Nikola, yet another bearer of an extremely floofy hat. Old gameplay footage is blended in with new footage that showcases Mia’s intense desire to protect her brother from harm, while also showing off more of her playstyle, which involves a bayonet-like weapon and what looks to be a metal scorpion tail. Here’s the plot of Code Vein for those that need to catch up:
“In the not too distant future, a mysterious disaster has brought collapse to the world as we know it. Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment. At the center of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein. This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight to survive, blessed with Gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood. Give into the bloodlust fully and risk becoming one of the Lost, fiendish ghouls devoid of any remaining humanity. Wandering aimlessly in search of blood, the Lost will stop at nothing to satisfy their hunger. Team up and embark on a journey to the ends of hell to unlock your past and escape your living nightmare in CODE VEIN.”
Code Vein officially releases for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 27, 2018.
