Promising Attack On Titan Game From Capcom Has Been Cancelled

Koei Tecmo has given us a few amazing Attack on Titan games already and it looked like Capcom was looking to follow suit with their own arcade game based off of the hit anime. Unfortunately, it looks like that arcade game won’t ever happen.

The cancellation notice came courtesy of the official Shingeki no Kyojin: Team Battle website. It was there that Capcom mentioned that they were wanting to give fans of such a beloved franchise a chance “to experience the thrill of soaring through the air using the omni-directional maneuver gear.” Unfortunately, the team realised that they didn’t have the means to develop a quality game that met their co-op and immersive standards.

New of the cancellation isn’t a huge surprise given that the title was initially revealed back in 2016 at the Japan Amusement Expo and very little has been heard of it since. It was meant to offer both an incredible single-player experience as well as a multiplayer one, though it appears that the vision just couldn’t come together enough for completion.

Would you have wanted to see Capcom’s Attack on Titan vision come to life? Let us know in the comment section below, or head on over to our Twitter @YouFedtheGamers to tell us your thoughts on the failed venture.

As for the franchise itself, the Attack on Titan series was first created by Hajime Isayama and has blown up both in the anime and manga world. The incredibly twisted series revolving around the mystery of Titans and mankind’s survival has also spawned several spin-off series, video games, and even movies.
