Tekken 7: The Walking Dead's Negan Gameplay Trailer Revealed (VIDEO)

Earlier this year, Bandai Namco revealed that The Walking Dead’s Negan would be joining the Tekken 7 roster, much to the dismay of all the other characters not looking to get a baseball bat to the face. Now, with the Tekken 7 Season Pass 2 characters officially rolling out – starting with Marduk and Armor King – the developer has released a full-length gameplay trailer showing off Negan’s moves. Check it out below:

Seen in the video above, Tekken 7 recreates an important – and gruesome – scene from The Walking Dead in its bid to introduce Negan to the game. Voiced by the legendary Jeffrey Dean Morgan (the actor that plays him on the show), the character is shown walking back and forth past other Tekken 7 characters, before he quickly dispenses with the monologue and begins doling out his special brand of justice with his baseball bat, Lucille.

Negan’s playstyle is extremely straightforward. While he does have a few other moves, the majority of his kit revolves around his bat, which he uses to knock characters around the arena. The stage that is shown during the video is also taken straight from The Walking Dead, which features a ring of vehicles and Negan’s friends watching from the sidelines. Who could possibly stand against the might of Negan and Lucille? Well, I for one have a pretty good guess.

Tekken 7 is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. There is no word on the release date for Negan, who is included in the Season Pass 2 for the game.
