Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Reveals Stunning Screenshots

call of duty black ops cold war feat

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is coming. Next week, it finally launches for PC (via Battle.net), Xbox consoles, and PlayStation consoles and it’s taking us back to the 80s. Thanks to Doritos and, honestly, a number of other leaks this year, most of us already knew this was coming. For those who didn’t and are just catching up, there’s some stunning new screenshots to check out (see below).

“A rooftop chase across Amsterdam. A recollection of an encounter within Vietnam. A covert infiltration of the KGB headquarters,” described the Call of Duty blog. “Welcome to the Black Ops Cold War Campaign: At the height of the Cold War, these three moments defined the early history of a newly formed group of CIA operatives. Their objective: to prevent global nuclear conflict through deniable operations, missions whose targets and sources remain off the record to this day.”

The screenshots feature various locations players will have the opportunity of visiting in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, including Vietnam, Amsterdam, and the KGB headquarters in the heart of the Soviet Union. Despite the fact that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a fictional game, it is inspired by real-world events and senior creative director Dan Vondrak wants players to know their history or “be doomed to repeat it.”

“Something that both games have in common is their use of real-world history,” Vondrak mentioned in the blog. “This was a critical element that made all the conspiracy so great in the original Black Ops and is something we couldn’t wait to continue.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War arrives November 13th for PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
