Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Nerfs Zero In Latest Update

Despite the fact that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 ‘s Operation Zero just launched last week, it looks like developer Treyarch is already calling in the nerfs. Brought into the game in order to “take the fight to a whole new level,” the DLC introduced a brand new specialist who consequently and majorly disrupts the current meta. Following her release, a wave of frustration was expressed by the Call of Duty community.

A specialist whose area of expertise lies in hacking, Zero can disrupt scorestreaks, special skills, turrets, and it affects not only one player but the entire team. To say she’s a little overpowered might be an understatement. Alongside a slew of other updates and adjustments to the game, here is the list of changes being implemented for specialist Zero.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Update – Zero Nerf Features

  • Increased amount of time it takes to earn the Ice Pick.
  • Increased time required to hack UAV, Care Package, and Counter UAV.
  • Greatly increased time required to hack Sentry, Drone Squad, Sniper’s Nest, Mantis, Thresher, Attack Chopper, and Gunship.
  • Increased time required to hack Torque’s Barricade.
  • Hacking an enemy no longer prevents their healing cooldown.
  • Hacking an enemy Assault Pack now causes it to expire.

In other related news, this update launches custom games to Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode dubbed Blackout. There are various other improvements to audio, unlocks and rewards, multiplayer, and much more. Check out the full patch notes on the official Reddit forum here.
