Bungie Releases Destiny 2 Soundtrack for Fans to Enjoy – Listen to it Here (VIDEO)

Destiny 2 Soundtrack

Music can be said to have qualities that make the world turn. For every emotion there is, most people likely have a song/artist/album that they turn on to go along with what they are feeling. Soundtracks are no different. Whether it’s the climactic point in a film where the two lead characters finally realize they are meant for one another, or “One Winged Angel” turned up to 11 as you face Safer Sephiroth at the end of Final Fantasy VII, there is something for just about any scenario. This is definitely the case with Bungie’s latest release, especially now that they have released the Destiny 2 soundtrack into the wild.

The highly-anticipated sequel was just released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One(one more month, PC gamers), and it brings some pretty epic music with it. With a myriad of styles throughout the Destiny 2 soundtrack, players are sure to keep it on repeat when they are away from their Guardians. Luckily, Bungie released it in its entirety on YouTube, and you can listen to the first track in the video below:

As can be heard in the opening track above, dramatic awesomeness is to be expected in Bungie’s follow-up to the 2014 FPS. Michael Salvatori, Skye Lewin, C. Paul Johnson, Rotem Moav, and Pieter Schlosser composed the 44 tracks that make up the Destiny 2 soundtrack, which is likely to keep players entertained while away from the game. If the music itself isn’t enough, the official release trailer gives a look at what went into the process of providing the instrumental backdrop for the game. Here’s what the team had to say:

In creating the music that will drive you through moments of loss and recovery, we have asked that same question of ourselves. The new soundtrack was composed to capture the somber spirit of a civilization confronting immense tragedy, and also to inspire bravery in the hearts of our heroes as they stand together and fight to reclaim all that they hold dear. We hope that you enjoy the music that accompanies this bold new adventure. Be brave all over again, Guardians.”

The Destiny 2 soundtrack can be purchased for $10 on Bungie’s website. This is only a digital item, so no physical copies are available at this time. The game itself is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it is set to arrive on PC on October 24.
