PlayerUnknown’s Brendan Greene Talks PUBG Single Player, New Vehicles, and More

PUBG Single Player

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been gaining quite a bit of popularity very quickly since its release, it has even set an all-time record recently for concurrent users on Steam. The man responsible for this gaming phenomenon recently opened up on a Reddit AMA to talk about his prized title. He even discussed some interesting possibilities such as a PUBG single player campaign,  new vehicles for the upcoming new map, and more.

According to Greene, creating a PUBG single-player mode is something that he would love to make and even mentions the game’s Island Map as being a good place to craft a story. Unfortunately, the Bluehole team does not have the resources at this time to make it viable. Perhaps when the team has more time and resources they’ll take another look at adding solo play to the game.

They may not have time for a PUBG single player but the team at Bluehole is continuing to bring fans content worth their time. A new map is on its way and Greene explains that alongside it will come new vehicles, only to tease: “as to what they are, you’ll just have to wait and see.”

Various other features are on their way such as a placement system seen in many games such as CS: GO or H1Z1. At the moment, these systems are not quite ready for implementation:

We do have plans to add systems like this. We also want to add a character leveling system and weapon skill systems (that doesn’t affect game-play) and other progression systems. We’ll have more info on these once we get a chance to fully plan them out.”

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available on PC with a release to Xbox One coming. Let us know your thoughts on the possibility of a PUBG single player campaign and more in the comments section below.
