PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Miramar Desert Map – First Live Gameplay Here! (VIDEO)

Battlegrounds Miramar

The long-awaited gameplay footage for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Miramar desert map is finally here, courtesy of The Game Awards 2017. After players the world over have been battling through the hilly terrain of Erangel for the better part of a year as part of Steam’s Early Access program, it is finally time to shed those camo coats and embrace the balmy, sunny weather of Miramar. Check out the live gameplay footage of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Miramar desert map here:

As seen in the above footage, Miramar features eight distinct locations: El Pozo, Valle del Mar, Los Leones, La Cobreri, Pecado, San Martin, Monte Nuevo, and Chumacera. In addition to an entirely new gameplay experience, Miramar also features new vehicles and weaponry exclusive to its map, which should seriously mix things up from the getting-slightly-old gameplay found on Erangel. Here’s the official breakdown of the new desert map from Bluehole:

We are excited beyond words that we can finally share the name of our new desert map and tell you a little bit about some of the places you can visit. When we decided to create a new map, we focused on creating an environment that is very different from Erangel. We wanted to go the opposite direction of having lush fields and forests and arrived at the harsh and unforgiving desert of what we can now reveal is Miramar. The unique terrain and dense urban areas of Miramar will create a new Battle Royale experience where the old strategies may no longer work and new tactics are required. We don’t want to tell you too much as you will soon be able to experience it all yourself but we did write a few short descriptions of several of the key landmarks and towns. You can find them below, together with the new screenshots.”

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently available for PC, with the Xbox One Game Preview edition arriving on December 12, 2017. So, thoughts on the live footage of Miramar?
