Battlefield V Official Trailer Revealed (VIDEO)

The long anticipated official trailer for Battlefield V has finally arrived, much to the delight of Battlefield fans everywhere. Revealed during today’s livestream hosted by Trevor Noah, the trailer was preceded by a discussion with the developers where many aspects of the upcoming DICE title was brought up, such as gameplay & modes, weapons & vehicles, Fortifications, and the return of co-op. According to the developers, players can expect a “never before seen portrayal of World War 2.” Check out the action-packed trailer below to see what’s in store:

Battlefield V features the most immersive battlefield yet in World War 2, and it definitely shows in the reveal trailer. Players can expect the return of several fan-favorite modes, with Conquest being retooled and renamed to ‘Grand Conquest.’ Additionally, players will also be able to play new modes such as Airborne, though details on the new modes have not yet been revealed.

The livestream also revealed the brand new Fortifications system. In previous Battlefield titles, there was just a bit too much rampant destruction, and according to one of the developers, there were too many times when the “level got leveled.” With the new Fortifications system, players can fortify building to help defend against enemy attacks. Players will also be able to set up foxholes and machine gun pits, which should make for some intensely diverse gameplay.

Battlefield V launches for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 19, 2018. Those looking to check out the game’s multiplayer will be able to do so at EA Play, on June 9.
