Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Is Reportedly Adding A “Story Creator” Mode

Since release, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has continued to provide players with a plentiful bounty of fresh new content including two stories that are told over the course of 3 episodes each. The “Legacy of the First Blade” saw players encountering the first person to wield the Hidden Blade and soon players will also be able to unlock the secrets of the lost city of Atlantis in “The Fate of Atlantis.” Now it seems the developers may have more to come on the horizon, thanks to a recent post on social media.

A recent post by Community Manager Dominik Voigt was recently discovered indicating that a new “Story Creator” mode could be on the way. Unfortunately the details on what the mode might entail were pretty sparse though the post did mention that it would be a “community-generated content feature” that would become available for all Assassin’s Creed Odyssey players. The post was subsequently deleted but not before fans were able to catch some screenshots to make a post to Reddit.

It will be interesting to see what comes of this potential “Story Creator” mode. Perhaps it will be something similar to the content creator modes featured in various other Ubisoft titles such as Far Cry 5, or maybe the mode will allow players to create missions within the open world of the game. Until we have actual confirmation from the studio, it’s all just speculation at this time, though the idea of being able to let out some creativity is exciting for the latest Assassin’s Creed entry.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. What do you think the upcoming Story Creator Mode could entail?
