Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Features A Donald Trump Easter Egg
With the incredible size of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, it is no surprise that the game features quite a few Easter eggs. There’s plenty for players to discover while playing through the eyes of Alexios and Kassandra. One Easter egg in particular even goes so far as to reference the famous Donald Trump slogan, “Make America Great Again.”
With the game featuring a time when the Greek world was thrown into a state of political conflict, it’s fitting that Ubisoft saw fit to throw in an Easter egg relating to the current political figures fans see in the world today. Within the quest called “Venomous Encounter,” players are tasked with hunting down clues that surround an attempted assassination of a local politician.
For those who don’t want any spoilers, the following will give information about one of the various “choices” players will be able to make in the game, so be warned:
Close to the conclusion of the questline, players will be faced with making a choice between two options, one of these involves killing a bandit leader. Before eliminating him once and for all, the bandit cries out, “We’ll never surrender to the likes of you. We will make Athens great again.” The line is pretty easy to miss especially if you don’t take the option to kill the bandit leader.
There is another politician within the game who also makes the reference “Make Athens great again” in a speech, and players will witness that when they meet Kleon.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
