New ARK Park VR Trailer Drops But Not Everybody is Feeling the Latest Video (VIDEO)
The idea that one day humanity could enjoy the experience of walking with dinosaurs may be out of reach in the real world, but that doesn’t mean that it’s off the table in virtual reality. At long last fans can catch a glimpse of a VR experience that will send players into a Jurassic Park-esque dinosaur wonderland that may or may not have some issues similar to its spiritual predecessor. A new ARK Park VR trailer shows off what fans can expect to do in the game as well as some nods to the original dino-theme park:
Some of the subtle similarities to the Jurassic Park films include the entry gate, scenes of docile creatures tame enough for children to ride, Jeeps, and malfunctioning machines. Just as in Jurassic park, something has gone terribly wrong and the dinosaurs that have gotten loose and are now running rampant. The ARK Park trailer then shows players gearing up to take out as many dinosaurs as they can in a wave-based VR shooting gallery. Players will be able to wield and upgrade a variety of weapons such as bow and arrows, dual pistols, or even mounted machine guns as they attempt to survive the onslaught of rampaging dinosaurs.
Not everyone is happy with the latest trailer. Some fans are upset due to the design choice, dragging players away from the awe and adventure of going out into a world and taming their very own dino-pets. Others however are confused by the latest trailer. Up to this point none of the previous footage showed any indication of this wave-based shooting aspect to the game and assumed that the game would be something else entirely.
Will the wave-based shooter in the ARK Park trailer be all fans will be able to do or will there be other modes to enjoy? Whose bright idea was it to let children ride Velociraptors?
