Apex Legends’ Duos Game Mode Makes A Return For Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and developers are hoping to cash in on the lovey-dovey holiday with events for player pairs to enjoy and earn rewards along the way. Apex Legends was one to debut its first Valentine’s event last year, with a set of hearty cosmetics going live for players who logged into the game. Now, however, it seems the game is going a bit bigger with the return of the well-received Duos mode just in time for this year’s event.
Debuting the mode back in November, Respawn sadly crushed fans’ hopes that it might become a permanent addition to the title. The start of the new ‘Valentine’s Day Rendevouz‘ will see the mode’s return once more as a limited-time game mode running from February 12th to February 19th. Alongside the event, a series of goodies will arrive for fans to enjoy as well. Not only will there be a Double XP boost for the event’s duration, but players who log in during the Valentine’s Day Rendevouz will also receive a unique badge as well as cosmetic rewards.
Apex Legends players may remember the ‘Through the Heart’ Longbow and ‘Love of the Game’ Pathfinder banner frame, both of which will be making a return from last year’s event. The Longbow skin costs 800 Apex Coins and will be available from February 12th to the 15th alongside a ‘Love Struck’ Nessie weapon charm priced at 500 Apex Coins. From the 16th through the 19th, players can also pick up the Love of the Game banner for 800 Coins while the ‘Lovefinder’ weapon charm will be available for 700 Coins.
