Apex Legends Developer Confirms More Titanfall Coming “Later This Year”
Apex Legends is currently at the forefront of everyone’s minds, with Respawn Entertainment having both announced the battle royale title and released it yesterday during its livestream. Unfortunately, fans of the Titanfall series were disappointed to find that while the game is set in the same universe as the battle-mech series, Titans and other gameplay features were absent from the newly launched title. Thankfully there’s still some good news for Titanfall fans, as the developer has confirmed that there will be “more Titanfall” coming later this year.
The news comes by way of a recent tweet from Respawn Entertainment’s CEO Vince Zampella, wherein he revealed that there are “tons of things” planned for Apex Legends. Not one to forget about all the Titanfall fans out there, he also revealed that there would be some sort of new content for the series coming later this year.
Tons of things planned for @PlayApex in the future. We are also committed to listening to player feedback.
We are also working on more Titanfall for later in the year (yes, I said the T word). We love being able to experiment in this crazy universe!

Zampella was quiet on what exactly the content his tweet referred to, so it could honestly be anything. That said, there have been previous reports that a Titanfall 3 was in development with an estimated release window of this year, so it could be a safe bet to expect the series to become a trilogy by the end of 2019. DFTG will keep you posted on new Titanfall and Apex Legends developments as they become available.
Apex Legends is now available free-to-play for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
