Anthem Players Can Have Multiple Characters Attached to an Account

Anthem

While BioWare has had their share of online play games, Anthem may be a bold turn for the company. Plenty of information has surfaced of late for the new title coming next year, but a feature discussed today may get players more excited for the mech battle bonanza. This newly surfaced news will mean players can have multiple characters, but may not need them if they don’t want to.

In a Q&A on Twitter recently, fans got a chance to inquire to Executive Producer Mark Darrah about the upcoming online title. According to Darrah, Anthem will feature the ability for players to change out of “multiple” Javelins (the mech suits featured in the game) through their time playing. This means players aren’t locked into a particular class like in Destiny 2.

No longer being restricted to class means players can explore the diversity of Anthem without ever swapping characters. While Darrah noted that multiple characters weren’t necessary, the ability to have them will be there for those who want it. It wasn’t said how many characters players will be limited to, but the option to have them or not will certainly make most of the fans happy.

While some think that this could slow players down from getting to far ahead of friends in the game, this isn’t entirely true. BioWare confirmed earlier that level scaling will allow for players to be casual, or not, without having to worry about being left in the dust. The accessibility of Anthem continues to grow, making it much anticipated for its release on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 on February 22nd, 2019.
