Mass Effect Andromeda is “Totally Softcore Porn” Says Aaron Flynn Following ESRB Rating Shift

It’s almost time, Pathfinders! The release for Mass Effect Andromeda is closer than ever and BioWare has made sure it was clear that they want us to be as hyped as they are. Between all of the announcements over the weeks, including Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer joining the cast and the Andromeda title officially going gold, this hype train has officially gone off the rails into hyper drive. For long-term fans of BioWare, we know that a steamy romance is all but imperative to their storylines, Mass Effect has been no different. Whether it was that Blueberry lovin’ with Liara, or testing your “reach and flexibility” with Garrus – there was a wide variety of in-game hanky panky. Aaryn Flynn assures fans that it’s … about … to … go … DOWN and Andromeda will be no different. That’s where the “softcore porn” comes into play.

This tidbit about the upcoming space RPG follows after the ESRB rating shifted from “partial nudity” to “full nudity” as a part of the M rating. Let’s face it, us Mass Effect fans? We can get a little pervy sometimes (I love you, Garrus!) and Aaryn Flynn, the developer’s general manager, took to Twitter to celebrate that sweet, sweet in-game booty with us!

It’s official – the mighty BioWare deity has spoken and we shall have softcore porn. I hope you know I’m laughing so hard while writing this and that I am neither ashamed nor proud to admit that I am even more excited for this title. And just in case you thought he might just be kidding – he even responded to a fan calling out a potential trolling situation with “Oh, I’m not”. Remember kids, no space glove, no space love.

Mass Effect Andromeda is set to release this March (21st for NA, 23rd for EU) for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Are you gamers excited for the latest tale from the story gods of BioWare?
