This Legend Of Zelda And Studio Ghibli Mash-Up Needs To Happen
It’s a sad day when you find out a collaborative game between Studio Ghibli and Nintendo almost happened, but it can only move forward from there. While there isn’t any concept art to follow the could-have-been title, an imaginative fan took it into their own hands to show just how grand a mash-up project could be for The Legend of Zelda.
What first began on Reddit as a noteworthy share of the Legend of Zelda in Studio Ghibli style, bloomed into a full-blown discussion on the hype it could receive from fans all over the world. There’s also dissenting opinions on the idea altogether as well. If The Legend of Zelda became an anime? Well, this is what it would look like.

Twitter user “miavern” pointed at their personally created image and the game’s general similarities to Studio Ghibli ‘s Castle in the Sky. Of course, when you mash together a critically-acclaimed animation studio as this with an equally renown franchise, it’s simply magic.
Despite his previously announced retirement, Hayao Miyazaki is back in action and assisting in the animation studio’s next film titled How Do You Live? While we certainly look forward to another work of art, could we perhaps see a collaboration between the two houses? Likely not, but a fan can sure hope.
