Destiny 2 Brings A Major Character Back From The Dead

Destiny 2

There’s no denying that dark times are ahead for Destiny 2 players. After all, the whole idea behind the Forsaken expansion surrounds Cayde-6’s death and the avenging of such. That said, what just happened only shows the darkness that is to come, and it is absolutely huge. Major spoilers lie ahead, so turn back now if you aren’t entirely caught up in-game.

Cayde-6 was taken out by Prince Uldren Sov, who players have since learned was being manipulated. Assuming those who are still reading have reached the endgame area of the Dreaming City, you’ll know that its occupants were entrapped in a three-week timeloop. Players will need to have finished Petra’s weekly bounty for the Blind Well in the court of Uldren’s sister, Queen Mara Sov, to get to where the cutscene is. However, this week seems to have resulted in the disappearance of the Queen. Next stop – the Ascendant Realm.

Arriving here will trigger the scene in question. Uldren Sov, killer of the beloved Cayde-6, has returned from the grave. It’s not just the fact that he has been resurrected that has huge implications, but also because he was brought back by a Ghost named Pulled Pork. Did Uldren just become a Guardian?

The cut scene shows Uldren’s revival and lack of memory, which is not unlike how things went down for players of the first Destiny title when their Ghost arrived. It certainly is quite the twist and points to a darker future, especially with how Zavala and Ikora will react after finding out who the latest Guardian is.

All of this, of course, lines up with a recent leak that highlighted the dark times to come for the Destiny franchise, including the third entry. There is no telling exactly what Bungie has in store for players moving forward, but with how they have pulled a complete turnaround in regards to Destiny 2, we’re excited to see what’s next.

Destiny 2 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
