Crash Bandicoot Nintendo Switch Listing Appears On Retailer’s Website
The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy launched early last year and fans have delighted in the fun of destroying boxes, chomping on some wumpa fruit, and collecting all those elusive gems. So far, all three platforming adventures have been relegated to the PlayStation 4, but a recent store listing suggests that a Crash Bandicoot Nintendo Switch port is definitely on the way.
Spanish gaming retailer XtraLife recently put up a store listing for a Nintendo Switch version of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, offering it at the price of €50 (≈ $61), setting a tentative release window of 2018. There was even a foldable Aku Aku Frisbee thrown into the mix. The unannounced item was even up for pre-order, but the entire listing has since been taken down. However, an archived version of the page remains online.
Closure of the Crash Bandicoot Nintendo Switch listing could point to a simple matter of false advertising, but there is a chance that the item’s former existence hints at a multiplatform bout for the title. A recent report revealed potential plans for not only a new Crash game for 2019, but fresh PC and Nintendo Switch ports for the remastered trilogy. While both stories dropping so close to each other may seem like an all-but confirmation, we should probably wait for official word from Activision or Vicarious Visions, which shouldn’t be too far away if that Spyro trilogy ends up being real. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is out now for PlayStation 4.
