Star Wars Battlefront II Launch Trailer Celebrates Three Eras Of The Star Wars Legacy (VIDEO)

Battlefront II Launch Trailer

In just a few weeks, the much-anticipated sequel to EA’s first Star Wars Battlefront game officially releases. The sequel brings many requested features missing from the first Battlefront game developed by DICE, including a single-player campaign and content based off of the prequel trilogy of Star Wars films, as well as The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. Today at the Sony press event for the Paris Games Week conference the new Star Wars Battlefront II Launch trailer was released; the exciting launch trailer can be viewed below.

The official EA Star Wars YouTube account has released this new Battlefront II launch trailer, showing the worlds and characters that will be seen in the game. The trailer opens up on a shot of the wrecked Star Destroyer on Jakku seen in The Force Awakens which was featured in the first Battlefront game, albeit only with original trilogy-era rebel and Imperial troopers. The trailer then shows Rey, equipped with lightsaber, leading Resistance soldiers against a legion of First Order Stormtroopers. We then see quick shots of famous Star Wars battles new to the EA Battlefront series. This includes the battles between Clone Troopers and Battle Droids on Naboo, Kashyyyk and Kamino, and Force Awakens-era battles between Takodana and Starkiller base.

We also see some original trilogy locations not used in the first game, such as Yavin IV. The trailer ends with the single player campaign’s protagonist, Iden Veriso, claiming that “The Empire’s time has come.” We will see just how true or false that will be when the game launches on November 17th.
