New Cyborg Featurette Shows Victor’s Origin Story in Justice League (VIDEO)

Cyborg Featurette

In less than a month, the DC Extended Universe’s Justice League film will finally bring together DC Comics’ team of heroes on the silver screen. While fans were able to see quick appearances by The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg in last year’s Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, there has been much excitement about seeing these heroes join the DC Extended Universe’s versions of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in battle. The origins of these heroes are another aspect of the film that fans have been looking forward to, and now we have a look at one hero’s origins in a new Cyborg featurette.

Warner Bros. has partnered with AT&T to promote the upcoming Justice League film with a series of new featurettes for the team’s heroes. A new video showing Cyborg’s backstory that will be seen in the new film has been uploaded to the official AT&T YouTube channel. The story stays relatively truthful to the comic origins of Cyborg. Victor Stone is a football star for Gotham City University who suffers severe injuries to his body that nearly kills him. Luckily, Victor’s father Dr. Silas Stone is a S.T.A.R. labs scientist with access to a Mother Box.

Dr. Stone uses the alien technology from the Mother Box to augment Victor’s severely damaged body to save him from death and transform him into Cyborg. In addition to enhanced strength, Cyborg can connect with any form of technology and transform his body into many types of weapons. Hopefully, he’ll pay homage to the Cartoon Network series and say “Boo Ya!” at some point in Justice League, in theaters on November 17th. What do you guys think about this new Cyborg featurette?
