Destiny 2’s Winter Event Will Feature Ice Hockey And Snowballs

Destiny 2 has been going strong since its early September release, despite a few bumps and glitches along the way. Bungie has been hard at work providing fixes for said problems, while also revealing even more content that is coming to the popular shooter. During the opening day of this year’s TwitchCon, live game director Ryan Paradis shared details about Destiny 2‘s Winter event and upcoming seasons of content.

While speaking at The Seasons of Destiny panel, Paradis showed off a bit of what’s to come in the beginning of Season 2 of Destiny 2‘s content. The first major event will be The Dawning, which will transform the game into a winter wonderland. Much like the casual soccer games that players can enjoy at The Farm, ice hockey will be available when the event goes live. Ryan also mentioned that there will be snowballs everywhere that one could pick up and do some actual damage with.

Of course, Destiny 2‘s Winter event isn’t coming without some sweet gear to offer to Guardians. Winter-themed armor and cosmetic items will be available throughout the event, giving players an opportunity to look fresh as they pelt enemies with snowballs. No word of when the second season of content will drop was mentioned during the panel, but we can expect to learn more next month as Bungie intends to hold a few additional streams in November to explain everything in greater detail.

Destiny 2 is available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with October 24 being the day that the game finally comes to PC. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as we learn more about the changing of the seasons, and for other Destiny 2 news, check out the following:
