Johnny Depp to Join the Magical World of Fantastic Beasts
As of November 1st, it has been reported that Johnny Depp is to be co-starring in the new series set in the Harry Potter universe, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, with an official role in the second of the series. Johnny Depp is said to be making a cameo appearance in the first installment of Magical Beasts and Where to Find Them, however his character is not being publicly announced so you’ll have to keep a sharp eye out if you plan on spotting him.
The first installment of the Warner Bros.’ magical franchise is due out in theaters on Nov. 18 and stars Eddie Redmayne as magizoologist Newt Scamander, who is making his way to the Magical Congress of the United States of America in the 1920s when his magical beasts escape from his expanding briefcase.
To go right along with the fantastic news of Johnny Depp joining the cast of the new magical franchise, author J.K. Rowling made a surprise announcement stating that she has completed the plot for 5 films in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. The Series of Fantastic Beasts has previously been announced as being a trilogy. Good news for Potter fans, looks like we are going to have no shortage of new adventures to dive into over the next few years!
