Innersloth’s social deception title is still as wildly popular as ever as the game continues to receive updates well into 2021. However, following the release of its latest update, it looks like the band of beans is finally meeting with the PlayStation brand with the reveal of an all-new new version for PS5 and PS4. The news was unveiled during the latest State of Play presentation, which not only assured Among Us for the Sony platforms but also revealed a new Ratchet & Clank skin set to drop alongside the 2021 release.

As seen in the trailer above, Ratchet & Clank will grace Among Us in a similar fashion to other past skins, with each little space bean able to equip various attire inspired by Sony’s loveable Lombax. Based on the released footage, robotic partner in crime Clank doesn’t appear to be a skin as well, but an equipable pet that fittingly trails behind the Clank costume (almost) wherever its wearer goes. Innersloth’s community director Victoria Tran conveyed the studio’s excitement about the Sony ports in a new post to the PlayStation Blog.

“From doodles to entire live action movies and countless streams, we’ve seen a lot of love pouring out for our little space beans. Thank you. We hope we can continue giving back that same energy! There are lots of updates we have planned for Among Us, and we can’t wait to take our PlayStation community along for the ride.”

The meteoric rise of Among Us is no surprise to anyone at this point as the game has become one of the most popular releases in years. The title frequently boasts high player counts and is regularly referenced across all forms of pop culture, making PS5 and PS4 ports more of a question of “when” rather than “if.” PlayStation is only the latest platform to embrace the way of the imposter as the game made its Nintendo Switch debut last year while Xbox One and Series X/S editions are currently on track for later in 2021.

Among Us is available now for ​Android, ​​iOS, ​​PC, ​​and Nintendo Switch.
