KFC Video Game Console Plays Games And Heats Chicken (VIDEO)
As social media-based marketing continues to evolve and become a bigger focus for advertising major companies, gamers seem to be a demographic gaining that much more attention from said efforts. One company in particular making many promotional campaigns aimed at gamers on social media has been KFC. The chain of fried chicken restaurants has launched everything from a fried chicken cooking tutorial/escape room VR game to releasing a Colonel Sanders dating sim. Now, the fast-food company is attempting a new foray into video game hardware with a bizarre KFC video game console capable of playing games and heating chicken.
KFC recently released a new video showcasing the KFC video game console on their official KFC Gaming YouTube channel. The fried chicken bucket-shaped KFConsole, made in partnership with Cooler Master, not only plays modern video games but also has a compartment for storing and heating fried chicken. What’s interesting about the device is that the heat radiating from computing components is utilized to warm the so-called “Chicken Chamber.” As high-end PCs often build up high temperatures, hardware like this usually offsets heat with a cooling apparatus, but this is also a clever way to disperse all that heat.

From a technical perspective, the KFC video game console is not slouching either. The device contains an Intel Nuc 9 Extreme Compute Element and two Seagate BarraCuda 1TB SSD drives, and has been confirmed to handle such features as VR, ray-tracing, up to 240FPS, and 4K video output. KFC has yet to provide details about how many of the KFConsoles are going to be made, what the device would cost, or even if they plan to sell it at all. Hopefully, that news is revealed soon so gamers can see if Cyberpunk 2077 crashing at full blast can cook the heck out of Colonel Sanders’s 11 herbs and spices.
