Yes, it’s another Silent Hill rumor. Yes, we’d like to stop getting our hopes crushed by teasers and rumors too. Alas, whispers are making its round on the internet again and will reportedly be revealed as a PlayStation 5 exclusive release later this year.

Business analyst, Roberto Serrano. reported that Konami will announce a PS5 exclusive release for their Silent Hill franchise. There’s no word on whether this console exclusive title is a new mainline game, remake, or a remaster. However, the news will likely break during The Game Awards festivities. Given the timing, the long list of leaks, and other rumors the past few years, it seems right to bring a new Silent Hill game to 2020. We all could use more horror in our lives. Well, horror video game entertainment anyway. After all, Konami brought some of their classic games to GOG with titles like Silent Hill 4: The Room, Metal Gear, and Castlevania.

Of course, any and all rumors should be taken with a grain of salt. First and foremost, it’s unclear where Serrano is getting their information. It could be inside intel or completely made up! It stands to be said that Serrano has made substantiated leaks in the past, but there have been misses as well. Despite a lack of solid evidence, Silent Hill fans will have to wait until December 10th to find out.
