Watch Dogs Legion Performance Details Revealed for PS5, Xbox Series X
While gamers have plenty to be excited for in anticipation of Watch Dogs Legion, we still don’t know all the performance-related details despite being so close to the game’s initial launch on next-gen consoles. Thankfully, Ubisoft has come in with some additional details on how the title will run on next-gen consoles.
Ubisoft recently took to a Watch Dogs Legion Reddit AMA wherein Ubisoft live producer Lathieeshe Thillainathan answered some questions on how the game will run on the PS5 and the Xbox Series X. According to Thillainathan, Watch Dogs Legion will run at 4K, 30fps for both consoles, and players will have the added option of enabling ray-tracing. This is the first time we’ve heard that non-PC players will have the added benefit of that extra shiny graphical feature specifically for this game.
Unfortunately, Ubisoft didn’t reveal during the AMA whether players can toggle certain graphical options. Things like a motion blur option are certainly common enough to expect on the PC version of Watch Dogs Legion, for example, though there’s no word on whether players can disable ray-tracing to boost the game’s FPS. Hopefully we’ll hear more about what to expect before the title launches for next-gen consoles next month.
Watch Dogs Legion is slated to release on October 29 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game will be releasing for Xbox Series X/S on November 10 and for PlayStation 5 on November 12.
