DOOM Eternal Fan Recreates The Game’s Iconic DoomBlade (VIDEO)

DOOM Eternal

Wrist-mounted blades are included in many amazing games, including favorites such as Star Wars: Republic Commando, the Assassin’s Creed franchise, as well as the latest addition of DOOM Eternal. Doomguy’s wrist-mounted DoomBlade was quite an effective weapon throughout the game and provided plenty of new flavor to the game’s Glory Kill mechanic. The rugged blade was impressive enough for one fan to recreate the weapon in real life.

A new post on Reddit shows a talented creator by the name of Miscreations who managed to build the DOOM-esque wrist-blade completely from scratch. It’s not an exact replica but the brutal-looking device is shown to be quite effective, as the blade’s creator demonstrates by annihilating a poor Caco-melon demon. It’ll be interesting to see if he further improves the weapon or maybe takes a second run at it to see how more badass the weapon can get.

DOOM Eternal is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. While the title is set to also appear on the Nintendo Switch there is no specific release date set quite yet but is expected to arrive sometime this year.
