Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 'Alpha Omega' Zombies DLC Revealed (VIDEO)

Though many are surely eyeing the upcoming Modern Warfare reboot, Treyarch continues to keep Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 content rolling out in the meantime. One of the game’s next pieces of DLC is set to introduce a new entry in the story-based Aether Zombies mode, a new teaser foretelling an epic confrontation called “Alpha Omega.” The fantasy-inspired narrative appears to be rolling with a decidedly Lovecraftian direction by the looks of an all-new video from Treyarch.

Revealed in a new post on Reddit, Black Ops 4 officially announced Alpha Omega, introducing it as the next DLC map to feature in the game’s Zombies mode and revealing a July 9th release date. “The next chapter in the Black Ops 4 Zombies saga launches alongside our fifth Operation with ‘Alpha Omega’ starting July 9th on PS4,” the post disclosed. “Get ready to rejoin Nikolai, Richtofen, Dempsey, and Takeo as the Aether story returns.” Check out the corresponding announcement video below.

While tentacle-laden warfare is now on Zombies’ horizon, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has a series of new content to offer players in the meantime. PC users were recently greeted with the new v1.18 update, in addition to the new Grav Assault Rifle that went live to Multiplayer on all platforms. Also revealed in the post, a Fourth of July limited-time event is set to go live soon, featuring “a new earnable Ultra Weapon Bribe” that promises to “reward players with a new ranged Black Market weapon and two Reserve Cases.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set to release Alpha Omega for PlayStation 4 on July 9th. The DLC is expected to go live for PC and Xbox One the following week.
