It’s a Trap! Star Wars: Battlefront’s Scarif DLC is Super Buggy – Bad News for Season Pass Owners
To coincide with the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, a new multiplayer map based on the film’s climactic battle on Scarif was made available for Star Wars Battlefront. While the movie is enjoying a massive amount of success, the Scarif DLC has been causing a large amount of trouble for gamers.
When the Rogue One-inspired content was originally announced, people were expecting new characters, a new game mode, and an enormous patch for the base game to look forward to. When the DLC hit the store, disappointed players found that it also came with a Death Star-sized list of bugs, one of which locked out season pass owners from their previously purchased content.
Publisher Electronic Arts has since offered a workaround for gamers affected by the season pass glitch, citing “a new change to license files” as the culprit. Other Battlefront players haven’t been as lucky, with several game-breaking bugs being reported, many currently without a fix. Hopefully, EA can get a patch out there before Battlefront‘s reputation is too badly hurt (Cough, cough).
