Overwatch Havana Map Now Live (VIDEO)
The professional Overwatch League has an official beer sponsor, developers added a workshop mode in-game, and hosted another year of their Storm Rising event. Of course, it wouldn’t be a dynamic game if maps and new characters weren’t added on the regular! Introducing their latest escort map, Havana finally emerges from Blizzard’s PTR (Public Test Realm) and is officially live. Check out their new trailer:
Dive into the “heart of Cuba” with Overwatch’s latest escort map, a “vibrant” and “historic port city”. The official description from Blizzard is as follows:
Begin your trip at the Taller de Sebastián, where the classic cars that line Havana’s bustling streets stop for refueling and repair. Escort a truck of rum barrels on the sun-drenched cobblestone roads, fighting off those who try to stop you. As you make your way, duck into a colorful building to escape enemy fire and savor the impressive flavors of Havana at La Cocina de Miranda or Café del Sol.
Battle your opponents through the alleys until you reach the Don Rumbotico rum distillery, a once little-known local treasure that has recently earned international acclaim. Finally, guide the jalopy through the distillery to its destination at the Havana Sea Fort, a historical landmark recently purchased by an anonymous financial group and closed to the public.”
Alongside the fresh addition to the map rotation, the same patch brings a few bug fixes and all-star skins to celebrate this year’s Overwatch League, including All-Star Mercy and Pacific All-Star Lucio. Both outfits are available from now until May 22nd.
