God of War, Twisted Metal Creator Building New Single Player Game

The gaming industry has had many key figures throughout its relatively short history so far, and one such individual is David Jaffe. Often associated with PlayStation, Jaffe is best known for his big hand in creating the God of War and Twisted Metal franchises. In more recent years, Jaffe became known for providing his expertise by commenting on issues and future trends for the gaming industry. Just a few months ago, he expressed his intentions of walking away from working on big franchises in the future. Now, it seems like the God of War and Twisted Metal creator is following through on this statement by announcing his new, smaller-scale project.

David Jaffe recently made this announcement on his official Twitter account. After hinting before at his more independent aspirations for the future, Jaffe has now confirmed that he is writing and designing a new single-player horror game with a big emphasis on narrative. He has not announced what the title is, or any details about the plot, but he does promise that he will be attempting some new and unique storytelling methods.

Jaffe seems to suggest that the game will not be finished for quite some time. His last title, Drawn to Death, released back in 2014, so Jaffe has been very much committed to taking his time for his projects at this point in his career, and having them be quality expressions of his artistic style. Hopefully, this new title stands the test of time like Kratos and Sweet Tooth.
