Street Fighter 5 Announces Zeku “The Ever-Changing Ninja” In Latest Reveal Trailer (VIDEO)
Introducing the latest Street Fighter 5 character to the amazing roster so far is Zeku the Ever-Changing Ninja. Initially “debuted” in the SFV alpha 2, Zeku taught Guy the Bushinryu style of ninjutsu. What’s interesting about the latest character for the game is the ability to transform into his younger self, which means double the moves to remember and apply during combat. However, there are some skills that stay the same despite which form is being used. To take a better look at the latest Street Fighter 5 addition in question, check out the reveal trailer below:
Does his younger self look familiar for those somewhat acquainted with the franchise’s story? One could make great “strides” with a hint, but let’s just leave it at that. According to Capcom, Zeku won’t be the easiest fighter to master because of his long list of skill sets. “His older self has slower moves and a special flip in the air, which can be followed up with different options to keep the opponent guessing,” says Capcom. “His younger self is quicker and has a short run, which can also open up opponents.”
Zeku’s V Moves and Critical Art
V-Skill: Fukuro (Older Self), Tenpo Kari (Younger Self)
- Performs a special technique that transforms him to his younger self, completely changing his move set. He can then use Tenpo Kari to transform back. Depending on the directional input you press after the V-Skill connects, Zeku will teleport either in front or behind the opponent.
V-Trigger: Bushinryu Shinge Kiko
- Allows him to perform a single special dash that can be followed up with a custom combo that deals additional hits. Both forms have the same V-Trigger.
Critical Art: Batsuzan Gaisei
- Upon kicking the opponent in the air, Zeku follows up with a flurry of strikes while switching forms before stomping them into the ground. Critical Art is the same for both forms.
Zeku the Ever-Changing Ninja will make his debut on Tuesday, October 24th complete with Story, Battle, and Nostalgia costumes. Check out the gallery above to see all of his outfits and sweet screenshots of his moves mid-action. For those interested in acquiring him, the season 2 character pass can be purchased for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99, which packages Akuma, Kolin, Ed, Abigail, Menat, and Zeku all in one!
