Call Of Duty: WWII Alexa Controls Available For Amazon Echo (VIDEO)

Call of Duty: WWII Alexa Controls

Many gamers may remember when they were able to blend a bit of reality with a video game when Bungie’s Destiny 2 became capable of speaking with Amazon’s virtual assistant. Thanks to a recent announcement by Sledgehammer Games and Activision, we now know that Call of Duty: WWII Alexa controls have arrived for players.

The feature is titled Call of Duty Skill, and it will act as your “your personal voice-controlled reconnaissance scout.” Much like in Destiny 2, the WWII Alexa controls will be based on voice commands, and they will provide players with “critical intel, personalized instruction and essential after-action reports in real-time so you can take your game to the next level.” The dev team also revealed a trio of videos showing the Call of Duty Skill in action:

Here’s a bit more about the feature from the game’s website:

“The beta release is here! Sharpen your skills and gain a strategic edge by deploying the Call of Duty Skill, your personal voice-controlled reconnaissance scout. With a simple voice command, Call of Duty provides you with critical intel, personalized instruction and essential after-action reports in real-time so you can take your game to the next level — whether you’re a battle-hardened vet or rookie. Want to access all of your multiplayer stats, check your progress on an active challenge, or hear what’s new in the Call of Duty world? Call of Duty has your six. Call of Duty allows you to stay connected with friends and can tell you how you stack up against the best of the best.”

Call of Duty: WWII is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Skill feature is also available to players at this time, but it is only in beta. If you’re in the market to pick up an Amazon Echo to have it be your personal CoD strategist, you can check that out right here.
