Wolfenstein 2: New Colossus Drops 20 Minute Gameplay Footage (VIDEO)
Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus has been getting a lot of video love in recent weeks, including one very, very NSFW trailer. We’ve seen interesting characters, old fan favourites, gorgeous locations, and about every curse word you can image – now new gameplay footage has emerged to show a deeper look into the game’s mechanics and what fans can expect.
BJ Blazkowicz takes center stage once more as the returning protagonist as he just obliterates every Nazi in his path. The mission in question sees Blazkowicz in the midst of a beaten down New Orleans in an effort to rescue Horton Boone, a Resistance leader, in an effort to take back the city from Nazi claim. Basically … expect to see the bullets fly:
Seen in the developer gameplay footage above, fans also get a sneak peek into some of the new abilities Blazkowicz has been given, including more versatility and new ways to inflict massive amounts of damage. The new contraption system gives good ‘ol BJ more new toys to play with in an effort to take out the enemy regime.
With each trailer and new video shown, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is shaping up to be exactly what fans of this long-standing franchise are looking for. With brand new elements to the game, it still stays true to the heart of the series and what fans are looking forward to stepping back into Blazkowicz’s boots. What makes this next installment even better is that this latest release will also be available for Nintendo Switch owners, including utilising the joy-con and unique Big N technology from the latest platform.
Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus drops on October 27th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, with a Nintendo Switch release slated for sometime early 2018. Don’t forget to also check out DFTG on Twitter for gaming and entertainment news live 24/7!
