WitcherCon Event Teases “Exclusive Reveals And Surprises”

WitcherCon

As the past year has made large in-person gatherings infeasible for the time being, the popularity of digital events has risen. The recently past E3 2021 was an all digital event, and many of the big gaming companies now routinely host digital events with announcements of new games throughout the year. The Witcher franchise has been having a steady successful streak this past decade, with the new Witcher series at Netflix being the big new addition to the franchise. With season 2 of the series having wrapped filming, the show is now set to be the big highlight at a new WitcherCon digital experience.

The official Witcher YouTube account has released a new video promoting the upcoming WitcherCon event being held in partnership between Netflix and CD Projekt Red. The video shows various clips from The Witcher Netflix show and The Witcher video games, as it promises a big digital event to be held on YouTube and Twitch on July 9th. With season 2 of the Netflix series wrapped, sneak previews of the new season are promised to be shown during this event, along with other Witcher-related reveals.

The official Witcher website has other details about the WitcherCon event, which includes the unfortunate, but clarifying note that a new Witcher game will not be announced during this event. Instead, deep dives into the development of The Witcher games will be held and led by the head of studio Adam Badowski. There will also be appearances by The Witcher series stars Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allen and showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich. The Witcher fans are among some of the most passionate fans in fantasy and gaming, and have helped bring the series from a foreign series of novels to a massive multimedia franchise. That’s a lot of tossed coins towards The Witcher.
