Warframe 5th Anniversary Celebration Includes Free Excalibur Skin And Special Weapon Alerts (VIDEO)

Warframe 5th Anniversary Celebration

The Warframe 5th anniversary celebration is finally here, commemorating five years of people running around as space Ninjas engaging in space Ninja hijinks, while being lovingly watched over by Space Mom (Lotus). Digital Extremes has announced that in celebration of its 5 year anniversary, it will be giving away a special ‘Excalibur Dex Skin’ and Alt Helmet for the melee Warframe. Check out a trailer of the new skin in action below:

In addition to the Excalibur Dex Skin and Alt helmet, the Warframe 5th Anniversary Celebration period also comes with its own unique set of ‘Anniversary Alerts’, featuring a few Dex weapons and a Syandana. Players can acquire a Dex Furis, Dex Dakra, Dex Sybaris, and a Dex Syandana by completing the alerts, which are up now and run through March 28 at 2pm ET. The Excalibur Dex Skin will also only be available to snag for those that login by the 28th, so make sure to do so. Each alert comes with its own special condition, where players can only use a certain type of weapon (primary, secondary, or melee) weapon.

Here’s what Warframe is all about for those interested:

They were called Tenno. Warriors of blade and gun: masters of the Warframe armor. Those that survived the old war were left drifting among the ruins. Now they are needed once more.

The Grineer, with their vast armies, are spreading throughout the solar system. A call echoes across the stars summoning the Tenno to an ancient place. They summon you.

Allow the Lotus to guide you. She has rescued you from your cryostasis chamber and given you a chance to survive. The Grineer will find you; you must be prepared. The Lotus will teach you the ways of the Warframes and the secrets to unlocking their powers.

Come Tenno, you must join the war.”

Warframe is now available and free-to-play for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
