Walmart Makes Fun Of Itself With Hilarious Rage 2 Promotion
It was almost a year ago when Walmart Canada made the unfortunate mistake of listing several unannounced games ahead of last year’s E3, one of which being Bethesda and id Software’s upcoming sequel Rage 2. What followed was nothing short of glorious, the game’s Twitter account hilariously calling out the retail chain for spoiling its big neon-colored revival ahead of time.
Now that the game is nearing its full release, Walmart Canada looks to have embraced its internet infamy with a new Rage 2 promotion on social media. Among the game’s bevy of pre-order bonuses, the Canadian retailer is offering a “Limited E3 2018” edition of Rage 2 featuring a self-referential outer sleeve commemorating last year’s leak.
Pre Order now and get the limited E3 2018 Rage 2 sleeve as a Walmart exclusive. Get yours for PS4 or XBOX now at: https://t.co/lVG5mO2nPP

This actual, 100% real offer is undeniably humorous and it’s commendable the lengths in which Walmart Canada has taken their internet memedom in stride. Those interested in getting their own Limited E3 2018 Edition of Rage 2 can do so on the Walmart Canada website, where both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are currently available. Unfortunately (and unsurprisingly), it looks as though this specific edition will be exclusive to gamers in Canada.
Rage 2 is set to release for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 14th
