The latest trailer for Sony’s upcoming Venom film is intense and almost entirely serious. It was both dark and brooding, giving fans a lot of hope for the film’s success and driving the hype levels to an all time high. There are some fans however who have used their creativity to lighten up the serious tone with a little humor. One such fan has used one scene from the latest trailer and mashed it up with Family Guy to make it absolutely hilarious.

There’s a character in Family Guy voiced by Mike Henry who’s name is Bruce, Bruce the Performance Artist. He’s a mustachioed man who speaks in a calm, drawn-out voice with a slight lisp. The character has said quite a few strange things over the years and many make for some perfect mash-up material. In fact, the video below is only one of a great many mash-up clips circling the internet that features the character’s lines. This one in particular though fits almost perfectly with the scene making it hard to take the original footage seriously.

The upcoming film featuring Spider-Man’s enemy is set to enter theaters on October 5th of this year. While Venom may not be a part of the MCU at this time, perhaps someday both Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Tom Hardy’s Venom will be able to duke it out on the big screen.

Speaking of the villain, sadly it’s been reported that Venom won’t be featured in the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive Spider-Man title as well, much to the disappointment of many fans.
