Thor: Ragnarok Lego Sets Reveal New Characters From the Upcoming Movie
After last month’s hit movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Marvel Studios’ next cosmic outing, Thor: Ragnarok, will arrive later this year in November. The new Asgardian adventure sees the thunder-wielding hero face his most formidable opponent yet in Hela, the ruthless goddess of death. Also facing off against Thor is his Avengers co-worker The Hulk, and long-time rival Loki, the latter of which is almost always a pain in his brother’s side. Thor: Ragnarok Lego sets based on these clashes have now been revealed on the Portugal Lego website, showing off a few of the film’s moments in all their blocky glory. Interestingly, the new toys offer the first look at a few new characters, including Hela’s Berserker goons, and Loki’s demonic pet Fenris Wolf.
“The Ultimate Battle for Asgard” set contains six figures in total, most of which are things we’ve seen previously in promotional images. Containing an armor-clad Thor, Loki wearing Earth clothes, the villain Hela, bounty hunter Valkyrie, and the Commodore spaceship, the Ragnarok Lego set also includes two Berserkers and the addition of Fenris the Wolf, Loki’s demonic canine of destruction. It’s unknown if Fenris’ inclusion in this set means an appearance in the upcoming Marvel film, but it would be admittedly pretty awesome to witness. “The Ultimate Battle for Asgard” will retail for $50.
Fly the Commodore spaceship and team up with Thor, Bruce Banner and Valkyrie to take on Hela, her Berserkers and the Fenris wolf in this exciting LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes The Ultimate Battle for Asgard set. The Commodore has 2 dual stud shooters and a minifigure-drop function, while the buildable Fenris wolf figure features posable joints for different battle poses. Includes 6 minifigures with assorted weapons such as Thor and Hela’s firing Power Blasts to intensify the role-play action.
The second Thor: Ragnarok Lego set called “Thor vs. Hulk: Arena Clash” delivers the gladiator battle teased in the most recent trailer, where Hulk and Thor are violently charging at each other, ready to exchange fists. The set contains five figures: horn-helmet Loki, gladiator Thor and Hulk, a Sakaarian guard and The Grandmaster. Along with all those is an arena that houses a sliding gate and throne for the Grandmaster to oversee the gladiator carnage. This set will go for $60 along with a few smaller add-on accessories.
Role-play an arena duel between Thor and Hulk and then team up with these 2 old friends to topple Grandmaster. This awesome LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes Thor vs. Hulk: Arena Clash set features an arena with a sliding gate, secret weapons rack, 2 toppling pillars, smash-function wall and an opening prison cell. Use Thor’s super jumper to knock Grandmaster off his throne and Loki off his seat. Includes 4 minifigures plus a Hulk big figure with assorted weapons and accessories to intensify the action play.
