The Witcher Netflix Series Confirms New Season 2 Production Date
It’s taken quite some time, though it looks like Netflix’s The Witcher series is finally looking to pick up where it left off after Season 2 production halted earlier this year due to the pandemic. While various rumors suggested that production was slated to resume soon, Netflix has confirmed that work on the new season will resume within the next two months.
The news comes by way of a recent post on The Witcher Netflix Twitter, featuring a rather eloquent poem by who is presumed to be our beloved bard Jaskier. “I’m dusting off my lute and quill, I have some news, some mead to spill,” the post reads. “After all the months we’ve been apart It’s time for production to restart. The Witcher and his bard – who’s flawless, will reunite on set 17 August.”

Elsewhere, The Witcher showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich has officially left home for London “to go back to work,” she revealed in a recent tweet. “I’m going back a different person,” she said. “A little more fierce and determined, a lot more brave, and — most importantly — with an open heart. I will miss my family like hell. They will miss me. We all will be okay.”
