The Witcher 3 Mod Lets Geralt Embrace The Way Of The Snowboard (VIDEO)

Snowboarding is an amazing sport. The feeling of gliding across powder as if floating on clouds, the sounds of metal and wood scraping against groomed snow and other elements combine to make for an incredible experience that is hard to find anywhere else. There’s a certain majesty to the sport, and now fans can experience a small taste of what it’s like for themselves as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt.

Though Geralt primarily travels with his trusty horse Roach in The Witcher 3, a new mod has given him a new mode of transportation, one that is far more rad than a beast with four hooves. Instead, fans are able to travel to a Snowboard Altar overlooking the bay of Kaer Trolde in Skellige or various other places in the world to pick up a snowboard of their own alongside a nice pair of snow goggles to complete the look. While Geralt’s form leaves much to be desired, it is still quite entertaining to shred the gnar in a fantasy realm. Even better is that the snowboard is equipped in Geralt’s sword slot, allowing it to be used in combat as a fully functioning weapon that can rip enemies to shreds. Haha, shreds.

In order to activate the snowboard as a mode of transportation users will need to first equip the board in their sword slot. After that all they need to do is jump to activate the snowboard, where every consecutive jump will switch Geralt’s riding stance from regular to goofy or vice versa. There are a few extra rules for using the mod as well as a few suggestions to make the riding experience even more immersive on the Geralt VGX Snowboard Nexus Mod page for The Witcher 3.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is currently available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.. The Geralt VGX Snowboard mod is sadly only available for PC players through Nexus mods.
