New Tekken 7 Update Now Live, Changes Coming to Online Matchmaking and More
Recently, players have brought to Bandai Namco’s attention that there are issue they need to be aware of and, as any good developer should do, they listened and oblige! “Patch #1” as it is being called addresses online matching functionality, more consistent connections, and improved stability overall. It is now live for PlayStation 4. The list of corrections and changes are very short, but it is stated that more patches will be coming soon. Beginning next week, a similar Tekken 7 update based on the list below will be applied to PC and Xbox One owners as well.
Tekken 7 Update – Patch #1
- Improved Online Matching Functionality
- The following player information will no longer be displayed before a match:
- Character selected
- Wins
- Rank
- Title
- Connection with other players can be established more consistently
- Improved Stability
- Addition of ON/OFF feature for voice chat
- ON/OFF for voice chat added to OPTION menu.
- Set to OFF as default setting.
- Nina’s Ivory Cutter attack properties.
Essentially, connections during matches with other players should be to be much more stable and consistent, settings should be improved, and online matchmaking should be more efficient. It has also been brought to Bandai Namco’s attention that ranked matchmaking has seen quite a few issues. Fear not, frustrated gamer friends, for it is being investigated and is likely to make it in the next few rounds of Tekken 7 update. Since it affects many people, it will undoubtedly make it sooner than later. Rest easy and stay tuned!
