System Shock 3 Alpha Gameplay Trailer Revealed (VIDEO)
The System Shock franchise is a classic within the gaming community and has spawned multiple spiritual successors over time, arguably becoming the grandfather of modern sci-fi shooters. While the original title and its sequel are getting remasters hopefully sometime in the near future from Night Dive Studios, a new installment called System Shock 3 is also on its way from an amalgamation of developers from Looking Glass Studios and Irrational Games under the studio name OtherSide Entertainment. Now, the developer has released a new gameplay trailer showing off a quick taste of what players can expect to see in the upcoming installment.
The new trailer shows off some alpha stage gameplay from the upcoming System Shock 3 featuring genetically altered humans, people infused with technology, and a creepy rogue AI named SHODAN. Given that the title is still in its alpha stages, the game looks be to coming along quite nicely and at this rate will become a delightful sci-fi action horror title for fans both new and old. There has yet to be a release date revealed for System Shock 3 and the title has only been confirmed for the PC platforms so far. There has also been no word as to what the story might entail, but with the ending of System Shock 2 ending on quite the cliffhanger, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the game continue close to where it left off before.
