Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer Confirmed, But Not For Launch

Cyberpunk 2077 CD Projekt RED

It is safe to say that CD Projekt RED’s upcoming futuristic RPG Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most highly anticipated titles in recent memory. That said, the game still has a bit of mystery surrounding it, especially when it comes to the possibility of multiplayer, which the devs have officially confirmed is happening.

Taking to Twitter, CD Projekt RED revealed that they are currently looking for people to come help create a multiplayer mode for Cyberpunk 2077. “Until now, the only thing we said about multi was that it was in R&D,” reads the tweet. “As we’re getting closer to launching ‘single player’ Cyberpunk 2077 in Apr. 2020, we’d like to confirm that multiplayer’s in the works!”

As can be seen in the tweets above, Cyberpunk 2077 will be a receiving a multiplayer mode, but it won’t be until after the game launches in April 2020. Before that happens, however, players will be receiving some free DLC and other content, so it is likely that multiplayer won’t arrive for quite some time after the title is released. Either way, at least we now know that it is happening.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be launching on April 16, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
