Deadly Premonition Director And Arc System Works Unveils All New Project

Director of the critically-acclaimed game Deadly Premonition, Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro, has just announced a brand new project in partnership with renown publisher Arc System Works. Though very little was revealed in their official unveiling video, Swery claims that the new title The Missing “will blow your mind” and “exceed expectations”. Furthermore, it will be the very first game that his studio White Owls will be creating in-house for the world to see, so it would certainly make sense to make a grand first impression. See for yourself in the video below:

The title, The Missing, has many meanings. A missing person, someone who is lost, or even something lost … maybe it’s your loved one… or a place you belong. Do you ever feel lost in your everyday life? The Missing is for someone like you.

Nothing is shown in terms of details or gameplay since news broke yesterday, but the video certainly gives off the feeling of a subliminal message. Aside from the eerie clips, Swery speaks on the partnership with Arc System Works and how White Owls has been given full creative reign on the project. If this man is known for anything, it would definitely be his unique perspective in the video game industry and his quirky personality!

It’s obvious that Swery can’t wait to show fans what they’ve got developing behind the curtains, but for now we’ll have to remain in the dark. It likely won’t be long before more teasers and details come. Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro and the White Owls studio was in the spotlight last year after their announced The Good Life, a title that combines various different genres. Not only is it an RPG, but it’s also a debt repayment simulator and mystery game. There’s even an online multiplayer feature.

It stands to be said that White Owl has a lot cut out for them in terms of workload. Not only will they be working on The Missing, but The Good Life is currently in development.
