Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Sets Joker DLC Release Window (VIDEO)

Piranha Plant from the Super Mario series may be the most recent addition to Super Smash Bros Ultimate, but there are plenty more characters where that came from that have yet to make their debut. There remains a handful of mysterious fighters yet to be revealed for the game, but one of these DLC entries, Joker from the Persona series, has notably been made known ahead of time.

As part of Nintendo’s latest Direct presentation, the Persona character received an update of sorts regarding its release. Alongside the announcement of a 3.0 update slated for spring, a release window for Joker has been set for around the same time. Specifically, the video says players can expect the first entrant in Challenger Pack 1 to make their debut “before the end of April.” The reveal happens at around 4:47 in the video below.

Though Joker’s release has been significantly narrowed down, there’s still loads of information not yet available regarding how the character will be integrated or who else might see themselves join the battle. Fans have nonetheless expressed who their preferred champion might be, as characters from ARMS, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as well as the always-enduring Waluigi have all been floated as potential additions.
