Super Mario Maker 2 Adds Multiplayer Modes, New Characters, and More (VIDEO)
Nintendo recently dropped a new Direct presentation on fans that was nothing but Super Mario Maker 2 goodness. The nearly 20-minute video was wall to wall details about the upcoming sequel that is exclusive to Nintendo Switch, and the new features are looking great.
Included among the new aspects that will be featured in Super Mario Maker 2 are all of the online multiplayer modes. Players will be able to team up and tackle courses if they choose, or they can face off against one another if that is their cup of tea. The new Course World will be the online hub for players to share their courses with each other and it features many goodies of its own.
In addition to all of this, three new characters will be available from the start. Unlike how players of the first game had to scan their amiibo to bring in new characters, those taking to Super Mario Maker 2 will have Luigi, Toad, and Toadette to begin with. Of course, Mario is there as well. There’s racing bits, taking down bosses together, and so much more that is on the way for players of the upcoming sequel. All of this and so much more can be found in the video above.
Super Mario Maker 2 is set to arrive on June 28th for Nintendo Switch. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
