Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Gameplay Revealed (VIDEO)
It’s been an awesome time to be a Star Wars fan lately. While new movies and theme parks taking over the world are great, fans have been also craving a story-driven Jedi game for years. Games like Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and its sequel, Jedi Academy, are some of the best games we’ve ever played featuring the Galaxy far, far away. But now we’ve finally got a long look at what looks like a worthy successor – Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Gameplay for the upcoming game was shown at the annual EA PLAY event part of E3 2019, and it looked like everything fans could want from a Star Wars video game. We got an impression of lead protagonist Cal Kestis, played by Gotham’s Cameron Monaghan, and his adorable droid companion BD-1. The plot takes place shortly after the events of Episode III: Revenge of The Sith and Cal is a padawan whose master is killed in the Great Jedi Purge following Order 66.
The player will be constantly on the run to evade the Empire’s own death squad of lightsaber wielding assassins, Inquisitors. The Inquisitors were heavily featured in the Disney XD series, Star Wars Rebels and will be making their game debut here. The game will also feature the debut of one previously unseen member of this order, the Second Sister.
Respawn Entertainment looks like they really knocked it out of the park, studio head Vince Zampella and game director Stig Asmussen seem very confident in their game. One thing’s for sure, we’re going to play the heck out of this before Episode XI comes out. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will release this on November 15th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
